Orthodox Islam's Relentless Encroachment

MAINSTREAM MEDIA focuses on terrorism because acts of violence are supremely newsworthy. But terrorist violence by Jihadis is only the tip of the iceberg. Underneath the radar is a huge political movement going on right under our noses, undermining freedoms and aiming relentlessly at gaining concessions for Muslims everywhere.

This sounds very rabble-rousing and extreme, but it is nothing of the kind. We have no need to try to guess their purposes — Jihadis state their goals openly and fervently, and they have one primary goal. It's a goal Allah has given all Muslims, and to which Allah expects full participation: The establishment of the law of Allah throughout the world.

Islam is a political religion. It makes the attainment of political goals a religious duty.

Allah said (through Mohammad, and written down in the Qur'an) he does not want his followers sitting around meditating or spending their lives in a monastery. Allah expects good Muslims to demonstrate their devotion and faith by working toward a time when the whole world "submits" to Allah.

There is no more important goal in Islam and everyone has a part to play.

Muslim women can give birth to as many healthy children as possible (helping to gain a numerical superiority) and raise them to be devout Muslims; the Imams can keep their listeners motivated; Muslim merchants can support jihad financially; warriors can fight; Muslim lawyers can sue anyone who criticizes Islam, hackers can shut down web sites that try to expose Islamic teachings, and Muslims with charisma can lure people to the faith and hoodwink the enemies of Allah (anyone opposing the movement toward Islamic domination) with taqiyya.

There is no better way to show Allah your devotion than jihad, according to the Qur'an. As far as Allah is concerned, actions speak louder than words. It doesn't matter how you feel. It doesn't matter if you'd rather just live a good life. Allah expects you to fight for Islam wherever you are and even if you don't feel like it, and to fight in whatever way you can.

When Muslims do not have the political power to impose their will, they are charged with the task of gaining that power. In democratic countries, the task is the constant, unrelenting pressure to gain concessions. This blog illustrates what kind of concessions I'm talking about.

Each concession may seem small, but they are adding up. Meanwhile, the Muslim population is growing in democratic countries.

Definition of Abrogation

To abrogate means to abolish, do away with, or annul, especially by authority.

This is a key term in studying the Quran. There are some peaceful, tolerant verses in the Quran. But the violent, intolerant ones have abrogated them. The Quran itself explains what to do with conflicting verses. If two passages conflict, it says, the one written later is better than the one written earlier. The earlier passage has been abrogated by the later one.

The bad news for non-Muslims is that almost all the peaceful passages were written earlier, and the intolerant, hateful, and violent ones were written later (read more about this).

The two key abrogation passages in the Quran are these:

2:106 "Whatever of Our revelations We repeal or cause to be forgotten, We will replace them with something superior or comparable. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things? Do you not know that Allah reigns sovereign over the heavens and earth and besides Him you have no protector or helper? Would you question your messenger as Moses was questioned in his time? Those who exchange their faith for disbelief have gone astray from the right path."

16:101 "When We exchange one verse for another, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say, 'You are making this up.' Most of them do not understand."

Bill Warner writes, "There are as many as 225 verses of the Koran that are altered by later verses. This is called abrogation."

Of the Koran's 114 suras (chapters), only 43 are without abrogated or abrogating verses. That is naturally surprising, and so unexpected that few Westerners are aware that significant segments of the Koran have been theologically annulled. Mohammed's non-Muslim contemporaries were just as surprised.

"Abrogation" means the canceling or replacement of one Quranic passage by another. It seems that as circumstances changed during the 23-year period that Muhammad dictated the Quran, the directions and precepts found therein sometimes changed to accommodate new and changing political and military realities, sometimes quite dramatically. Thus, the Quran abrogates or cancels itself in various passages and presents seemingly conflicting statements. Muslims do not view this sort of abrogation as a contradiction, but rather, as improvements to better suit varying circumstances or needs, or to fit Muhammad's religious concepts.

What Non-Muslims Can Do About Islam

Not only are some people killing non-Muslims in the name of Islam (in impressive numbers) but some are doing something less newsworthy but potentially more destructive: Demanding and gaining concessions from non-Muslims, and slowly encroaching on democratic freedoms with the end-goal of establishing Sharia law in Western democracies (and already succeeding). This must be stopped and your help is needed.

But if you're not a soldier and if you don't work for a counterterrorist organization, what can you do? There are a surprising number of practical, effective actions you can take right where you are to deal with the problem of Islam, and we will keep adding to the list below as we discover more. Each of the actions is linked to an article explaining more about it:

1. Join ACT! for America and participate. AFA is a large and fast-growing organization aimed at stopping the Islamization of America. In this fight, whoever is most organized will win. AFA is opening up in other countries too. Check it out. They provide action alerts for specific actions to take — at the local level and also the national level — that stops creeping Sharia in America.

2. Read the Koran. By reading the Koran, you'll understand the situation more clearly and you'll be able to speak with authority to others.

3. Help women everywhere gain basic human rights by chiming for change. Or participate in the Girl Effect.

4. Help neutralize the apologists for Islam at Voice for the Voiceless.

5. Share online articles, but skillfully.

6. Use this very informative and economical leaflet to help educate your fellow non-Muslims about Islam.

7. Educate your family and friends about Islam on Facebook.

8. Educate and motivate the public using FaceBook.

9. Join groups on Facebook that raise awareness of Islam-related issues.

10. Use Yahoo Answers to educate your fellow non-Muslims about Islam.

11. Stop burning gasoline in your car. You can either buy a flex-fuel vehicle and burn ethanol, or you can add a conversion kit to the car you already have, or you can just burn ethanol in your car (see more about that here). This is a vital, urgent task that could have enormous ramifications. To buy gasoline is to pay the jizya.

12. Talk to your friends about Islam. (It will help to study the Citizen Warrior's manual.)

13. Share online videos. This page has an updated list of recommended videos. If you know of one not on the list, please add it.

14. Create a counterjihad page on Facebook. Here's how to do it and why.

15. Sign a petition right now that urges our politicians to stop Muslim immigration.

16. Share An Inquiry Into Islam with others.

17. Support the Honor Killing Awareness Campaign.

18. Participate in the "Stop the Jihad on Campus" annual events.

19. Educate high school students about Islam. Do what these innovative activists did.

20. Promote the resources on this list by making comments on blogs, web sites, Facebook pages, Yahoo Answers, etc.

21. Tell others about this list. Share the domain name, WhatYouCanDoAboutIslam.com (which goes to this page).

22. Help and support the Mapping Sharia Project.

23. Try some glamourbombing.

24. Submit story ideas to reporters and news outlets.

25. Help support Citizen Warrior.

26. Share DVDs with your friends.

27. Give one of these handouts to people.

28. Man a booth at a fair like these folks do to educate passersby.

29. Talk directly to police and politicians like this man does.

Don't try to do all of these. You've got to be smart about this, and that includes keeping your motivation level high, getting enough sleep, and having a life. Feeling overwhelmed by things that must be done is not good for your motivation and it can impair your ability to persist.

So choose one or two of these things that most interest you, and get to work on it. You can always come back to this list later if you want to do more.

And please don't beat your head against a brick wall. If you talk to people and you meet resistance, use skillful means to get past the resistance. Stop struggling and feeling frustrated and use the tools you'll find here instead.

Watch Obsession and Share it With Others

A LITTLE WHILE ago I heard about an organization that handed out the movie, Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West, to hundreds of delegates at the Democratic Convention in Denver because they think Democrats (in general) somewhat ignore the creeping Islamization of the U.S.

The organization was called, fittingly enough, Watch Obsession. They decided to fight against the Islamic political encroachment by promoting the movie, Obsession.

I recommend the movie also. I have loaned my copy to most of my friends. I think it's a great way to give someone an authoritative overview of the problem, and to introduce them to key Islamic principles like Shari'a law and taqiyya (religious deception).

Undercover at London Mosque

Have you ever wondered what they say at mosques behind closed doors? Here's your chance to find out.

The video below is part of a British television program where a Muslim woman goes into London's most important mosque to see what they are teaching and promoting. Answer: They are promoting jihad, Shari'a and the spread of Islam.

The film was a little too generous to Islam, I thought. But I guess it's better to err on the side of generosity. At one point in the film, for example, the teacher says homosexuals should be pushed off a high place and killed. It is slightly misleading when the narrator says, "Nowhere in the Qur'an does it say that." Any Muslim can tell you much of Shari'a Law is based on the Hadiths and the Sira. But anyway, check it out:

Undercover Mosque

The fact that Britain has known what this mosque preaches for at least a year and a half and still allows it is pathetic. Allowing the Muslims their sedition is a dangerous concession. Add enough of these concessions together and the Jihadis will get their way: Shari'a will be the law in Britain. In fact, it already has begun: Shari'a Allowed In Britain.
