The Key Point of the Whole Argument

Thursday

IN OUR discussions with others about the third jihad, what is the one barrier that seems insurmountable? Here's what I'll bet it is: You say it is a fundamental and essential part of Islam that Muslims must wage jihad against non-Muslims until the whole world submits to Islamic law. And they say, "It can't be."

It can't be because all religions are the same. It can't be because everyone is basically good. It can't be because most Muslims aren't violent. It can't be because if it is, the consequences would be too much to bear. It can't be because only a racist would say such a thing. It can't be because everybody knows Islam is a religion of peace. It can't be because I have this Muslim friend and he is really nice.

In other words, all the things people say to you to argue this point are a desperate attempt to not allow that fact to be true.

This should be the key point of any public education we engage in:
That it's an essential part of Islam to wage jihad until the whole world submits to Islamic law. Once that point is accepted, all things that need to be understood can be understood easily.

But how can you get someone to accept that fact as a fact?

Last night I was reading a rather long article called A New Koran? and I think I've found something we could use to help people accept the key point.

The article is a discussion between several well-known people. Among them are Robert Spencer, Bill Warner, Khalim Massoud (president of Muslims Against Sharia).

The topic of discussion is the re-writing of the Qur'an. Massoud is working on a project that removes all exhortations to intolerance and violence from the Qur'an. The argument goes on to discuss how the Muslim world has responded to this and other attempts to make the Qur'an less dangerous for non-Muslims.

As I was reading, something struck me: THIS would be persuasive evidence for the unenlightened.

These Islamic scholars, some of them Muslims, are almost universal in their agreement that the Muslim world will never accept at altered version of the Qur'an. In other words, intolerance and violence toward non-Muslims is such an inherent, fundamental part of the Qur'an, taking it out would make Islamic teachings almost unrecognizable to the Muslim world!

This is the kind of article that would only be interesting to those who are in the field — those who write and speak about it, or who are working on projects to stop Islam's relentless encroachment. But I thought this might be good evidence to make our point in a way the uninitiated would listen to.

I suggest we print out the article and have it handy. I suggest we bookmark it where we can find it easily. And then let's use this article when someone says, "It can't be."

Those are some good points CW. I think one could also make the point that if the Quran needs to be rewritten in order for people to accept it then maybe it was not really such a good book in the first place and maybe Islam is a long way from any type of truth relevant to humans.

I have begun to write about Islam more on my own site - I frequently add references to this site and to TheReligionOfPeace.com.

I have two software versions of the Quran and one paperback. I can't present much of a defensive against something I don't know well, so I read it keep notes.

After 9-11, people kept saying "why? why? why?" I knew why, and it's well documented here: Islamic Fundamentalists see themselves in both a defensive war (against "the West") and an offensive war (jihad) in order to make the world submit by any means to Islam (which MEANS "submit").
All the "why" sayers reminded me of Nancy Karrigan, US olympic figure skater back in the early 90's and she got WHACKED on the kneed right before slated time on the ice. It was discovered that the thug-perpetrator was hired by fellow US skater Tanya Harding. Nancy cried on the floor, "WHY? WHY? WHY?" The motivation (the why) is the same as Islamic fundamentalists:
THEY WANT TO WIN (AT ANY COST)!
Winning means converting, forcing submission, or killing all the kuffars (unbelivers). I fear they may win because as we lay bleeding on the ice we'll still be trying to "understand" them.

Great post.

Check out this link - I thought it might prove a little encouraging to those of us trying to battle Islamisation etc.

K.M. and others are either suffering from supreme cognitive dissonance or practicing al-Taqiyya.

"Allah's Word." "Allah's Word." God damn it, what part of that key phrase escapes comprehension?????!

Have all lost track of the concept of literalism? The Qur'an is not relative, it is literal!!!

"Allah's Word." Let that sink in for a moment.

Allah commanded a pen to write. What it wrote is on a sealed tablet, guarded by angels. It is protected from editing, immune to change. "Allah's Word. "

Allah recited it to Jibril, who recited it to Moe. Moe recited it to the Muslims, who memorized it.

"Allah's Word." Have you no clue??? "Allah's Word." !!!

"Allah's Word." !!!

I have a clue for you.

2:59. But those who did wrong changed the word from that which had been told to them for another, so We sent upon the wrong-doers Rijzan (a punishment) from the heaven because of their rebelling against Allâh's Obedience. (Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. I, Page 305).

What did the Jews do? Who said that?? Whose word is it?

7:162. But those among them who did wrong changed the word that had been told to them. So We sent on them a torment from heaven in return for their wrong-doings.

What did those Jews do? Whose word??

14:28. Have you not seen those who have changed the Blessings of Allâh into disbelief (by denying Prophet Muhammad and his Message of Islâm), and caused their people to dwell in the house of destruction?

What did they do to earn Hell? Whose word??

50:28. Allâh will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat.

50:29. The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves."

"Allah's Word!"

"Allah's Word!"

"Allah's Word!"

Has it sunk in yet??

6:115. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the AllHearer, the AllKnower.

"None can change His Words."
Whose words? Which words??

18:27. And recite what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad ) of the Book (the Qur'ân) of your Lord (i.e. recite it, understand and follow its teachings and act on its orders and preach it to men). None can change His Words, and none will you find as a refuge other than Him.

"None can change His Words" Whose words? Which words???

10:64. For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allâh, this is indeed the supreme success.

My comment was rejected for excessive length. It has been uttered & published here: Explaining Islam's Prime Directive & Answering Objections

Babs 5:25 AM

Until Muslims are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills which will accustom them to the discomfort of being disagreed with and the awareness that they may be wrong, then of course they will dig in and be rigid and unchanging.

But the essence of life is change. Evolution teaches us that if a species doesn't evolve then it may die out.

The Koran must be amended in order to bring its adherents into civilisation. Otherwise, regardless of the extent to which they act out or threaten, Islam will die out too.

Ben 1:17 AM

ericBabs,

Can perfection be improved? 5:3 informs Muslims that Islam has been perfected for them.

The Qur'an is presented and accepted by Muslims as Allah's word. Allah said something about his word: nobody can change it. 6:115, 10:64, 18:27, 30:30. Reform is absolutely impossible.

Article Spotlight

One of the most unusual articles on CitizenWarrior.com is Pleasantville and Islamic Supremacism.

It illustrates the Islamic Supremacist vision by showing the similarity between what happened in the movie, Pleasantville, and what devout fundamentalist Muslims are trying to create in Islamic states like Syria, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia (and ultimately everywhere in the world).
