Peace On Earth

Serge Trifkovic said most of the conflicts in the world involve Muslims, and if you took away conflicts involving Muslims, the world would be a pretty peaceful place.

Muslims, both orthodox and heterodox, are always quick to point out that Islam is a religion of peace. But this statement by Trifkovic made me curious, so I searched Google for a map of world conflicts, and which ones involved Muslims. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I found two maps (on two different web sites that have nothing to do with each other) that are interesting when you see them together.

The first map is by Freedom House, an organization that tracks democracies around the world. It shows their map of world freedom. The purple countries are the least free:

A few clicks later, I found the map below of populations of Muslims. It shows by color where the densest population of Muslims live in the world (the highest population of Muslims is darkest blue):

There isn't much of a difference between the two maps. The only big difference is that China is not Islamic but still ranks low on the freedom scale.

So a practical way to attain more peace on earth is to work to awaken the non-Muslims of the world to the reality that Islam is not a religion of peace. When that is clear to a large number of people, we will no longer be bamboozled by their rhetoric, no longer allow the concessions they push for, no longer lavish Islamic regimes with money, and no longer trust orthodox Muslims in negotiations. The result will be more peace on earth.

  1. I read a comment that choosing female genital mutilation would be a good target for action. I think that's a great idea -- choosing something specific, and in this case, something that most everyone, including probably most Muslims, find abhorrent. Mutilating girls in that was is just plain wrong, and not many would disagree. That is a specific issue to attack. And the attack would weaken the moral standing of Islamofascism for Muslims around the world. In the eyes of the world and in the eyes of their own people, pure Islam -- a strict following of the Qur'an and the Surah -- would be seen clearly as immoral.

Another specific issue in the same category is honor killings. And there are organizations that have ostensibly nothing to do with stopping the spread of Islamofascism around the world, and yet they may be having a more practical effect than those coming at the issue head-on. These are organizations that are specifically working to stop female genital mutilation or honor killings. I'm talking about organizations like STOPFGMC.org, The Inter-Parlimentary Union, Petition Online, Karokari, and the International Campaign Against Honour Killings.

This might also be a way we can enlist those friends of ours who aren't sure about criticizing a religion or culture and yet can clearly see these two practices are wrong and must stop.

haisten. When islamic women are only promoting their islamic women rights, we nonbelievers should also concentrate on promoting our nonbelievers rights.

Islamic women are more than capable to promote their islamic women rights and don't need us nonbelievers to assist them.

I wish this could be done relativly peacefully but I have no doubt that we will be forced to eliminate large amounts of muslims in the future unless we give them an ultimatum on what they need to do in order to not be annihilated. If it were up to me I would give the muzzies an ultimatum that would save lives in the long run. Eliminate jihad and all things in the quran, hadith, and sira regarding us (infidels) or violent, get rid of all hate preachers, get rid of all bad and prejudiced sharia that's not just between a person and his/her diety, get rid of all WMD in muslim countries. Do this and you live, don't and you are done, period. Mecca and Medina will also be wiped off the map. This would take the cooperation of the U.S., Europe, China, Russia, Canada, Australia, Japan, S.Korea, etc. I know China is a brutal Govt but sometimes you have to deal with bad guys to get rid worse guys.
    Thanks

  6. Lovely map, but somehow even-though a bit strange to see that Pakistan is more or less a bit free, while everybody knows that a source of evil is coming from Pakistan.
And Morocco is almost the same, once I've heard a story about a car accident the aunt of the king was in. She did not give way. The man she bumped into was never heard of afterwards. Nobody knows how he disappeared. He should have seen that it was the kings aunt, he should have given her the right of way, even when she had to wait.
A few countries that are orange should be labelled purple.

I think honor killing is the better route. Simply because nowadays people have no nuance. no discernment or very little. So fighting against women mutilation will spill into fighting male circumcision, which will get the Jewish world out of the picking sides of the battle.

Honor killing is very specificly Muslim and there's no other comparison except just plain murder.

  8. Feminists were (and in some cases still are) preaching this decades ago, but no one cared about it.

Funny how no one cares about women's rights until they themselves are threatened.

many commentators jeer that feminsits are not fighting for the freedom of Muslims women - reasonably fair comment simnce many feminists have gone to the multicultural side of politics.

But where were/are the men loudly beating the drum for the liberation/freedom of muslim women forthy, thirty years ago?

Where are the men now who seem to desire this state of affairs? What is stopping men forming movements to stop the abuse of Islamic women, running fundraisers, establishing safehouses? (and I don't just mean the various military forces in the wilds of Afghanistan etc.)

There are a few, but the most talk I hear is not how to stop these atrocities and establish safe places, but sneers and jeers about why the feminists aren't doing something.

    Talk is very very cheap.

Mind you, I have no qualms about having female suicide bombers as well as male ones executed.

Nice try, loser. Boy, it's always a zero-sum game with some people.

Citizen warrior, thanks for listing those organisations against FGM etc. I did not read the posts before commenting. Next time I will, just to be sure what I say is not contradicted by former postings!! ;)

Yes, you're right. The best thing we could do to fight Islamic oppression would be to make women leave their jobs and submit to their husbands in everything and stay inside unless they have his permission to go outside, and only while wearing a some kind of all-encompassing body covering... oh, wait...

The only problem I see with the "freedom map" is that it shows Western European countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany) as "free", BUT they have 50,000,000 muslims living among them, ready to take over within 89 years or so, and the BIRTH RATES among the NATIVE Europeans is not at replacement level in most Western European countries because of birth control, abortion, cohabitation but no marriage, and other liberal, secular, suicidal choices.

Freedom and Liberty are the cornerstones of the best environment for children to be brought up in.
So sod the women lets do this for the kids, no matter their gender.

Personally I think any Sharia enforcing territory both overt and covert (ie not doing anything) should have no voting rights at UN, IMF, WTO etc etc nor rights to speak or hold sub committee posts.

That is if we really do value freedom and liberty.
It is worth fighting for for all of our kids.

  14. Someone just emailed me this message:

Here is a link to a Blaze article that parallels in a fashion the point you are making. This map and statistics deal with the countries most responsible for persecution of Christians, and guess what, the maps all align. How ‘bout that!

  15. I am guessing this map would be similar for worst countries to live in if you're a Jew, a Buddhist, or a Zorastrian for that matter.

  16. Muslim migrants are living in a society which is institutionally racist. Brits must learn to respect and tolerate those who are different.Children should be taught about living religions so that they could learn to respect and tolerate those who are in their schools or who live near their own homes.

Multiculturalism is not about integration but about cultural plurality. It is not about separation but about respect and the deepening awareness of Unity in Diversity. Each culture will maintain its own intrinsic value and at the same time would be expected to contribute to the benefit of the whole society. Multiculturalism can accommodate diversity of all kinds – cultural, philosophical and religious – so that we can create a world without conflict and strife. Britain can assume the role of accommodation and concern for all peoples, for our planet and indeed for our survival. Multi-culturalism is even more important and crucial after 9/11 and 7/7. Muslim youths are also likely to feel alienated by a focus on shared Brutishness, rather than multicultural diversity. Rather than promoting a single British “us” teaching should acknowledge that “us” can be diverse and plural. Children should be encouraged to explore differences in appearance, history and religion to reduce social and educational fears.

Islam is the fastest growing faith in Britain. Hundreds and thousands of Brits are reverting to Islam. By the middle of this century, over half of Brits would be Muslims.

"I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of
its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to
possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which
can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man
and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the
Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the
dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems
in a way that would bring it the much
needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad
that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to
be acceptable to the Europe of today." [G.B. Shaw, THE GENUINE ISLAM, Vol.
    1, No. 81936.]

Out of curiosity I ask how is any kind of mutilation justified in Islam (in your opinion)?

  18. By the example of Muhammad. He ordered a Rabbi tortured by lighting a fire on his chest. Then he ordered the Rabbi's eyes be gouged out. He also recommended cutting off arms and legs "on opposite sides."

FGM is a revolting, barbaric practice. So is child sexual abuse. Have you bothered to ruthlessly suppress hat and prosecute sexual predators? Or do you just let them get away with it for years because of their upstanding positions in society? The issue is on a fault line between a number of sensitivities, it's going to provoke emotional reactions. FGM is sexual assault and should be treated as such. The poor children are coaxed into this barbaric procedure by the people they most trust - unaware of the long-term mental and physical consequences. There is no place for 'cultural sensitivity' when addressing this matter - anyone found guilty should be named and shamed.

Is this not child abuse by the parents? Is there not a procedure in place to deal with child abuse by parents? Sharia has nothing to do with FGM. FGM predates Islam. As it's open season on Muslims and Islam, especially open season on Muslim women in Europe, the proportion of women children at risk is equivalent to the number of Muslim girls in Europe. FGM in the UK is a classic case of a politically correct public sector bending over backwards to accommodate blatant abuses of the person in the name of cultural and religious traditions. To destroy a girl's clitoris is to ruin their sex life for ever. That is a crime and there are laws that are good enough to deal with this. What on earth are the police doing? Sitting on their ar*es no doubt.
FGM predates Islam. It was supposedly first started in Pharaoh Egypt. Perhaps earlier. Islam does NOT teach it or support it. The Prophet Muhammad had 4 daughters and 9 wives and not a single evidence or testimony suggests any of them underwent anything like FGM or that they supported it. Islam does not permit mutilation of the body for rituals or customs or traditions, like prohibiting tattoos. FGM is wrongly associated with Islam. But so are many things. Ironically, the British empire was instrumental at destroying the one institution with the moral, political, and spiritual authority to end destructive and barbaric practices like FGM.
Keith Vaz, the committee's Labour chairman, said victims had been badly let down. "FGM is an on going national scandal which is likely to have resulted in the preventable mutilation of thousands of girls to whom the state owed a duty of care," he said. "Successive governments, politicians, the police, health, education and social care sectors should all share responsibility for the failure in recent years to respond adequately to the growing prevalence of FGM in the UK."Right 'cos we couldn't possibly point the finger at the cultures that do this kind of thing and protect those who do it with a conspiracy of silence, could we? What proportion of children are at risk of FGM compared to the proportion of children at risk of abuse generally?
