Thursday, June 6th, 2013 is "Speak Your Mind About Islam Day"

Wednesday

What would happen if this became a universal response to attempts to restrict freedom of speech? What if instead of newspapers being intimidated when Muslims riot over a cartoon, for example, if newspapers joined together and simultaneously reprinted anything that causes riots? It would probably eventually end the rioting, but for sure it would protect the individuals. There would not be a target; it would be happening everywhere at once.

British people wrote about Islam on Facebook and Twitter in response to the brutal beheading of Lee Rigby and were arrested for it. The right response for all of us is to write about Islam on Facebook and Twitter until the internet quakes. Let it rip. Freedom of speech is under attack by orthodox Islam, and freedom of speech must prevail.

All right since this is speak your mind about Islam day if anyone would ask me "Just what is Islam?" I would answer, Islam is a religious /political/ cultural system of tyranny that controls the minds and lives of millions of people around the world. In the light of the describtion of this tyrannical mind control system the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson applies very much. For Mr. Jefferson wrote "I have sworn upon the alter of God eternal hostility against ever form of tyranny over the mind of man."

We Islam-critics in the U.S. have a number of great problems (though not as bad as the problem for critics in the U.K.): most critics of Islam here in the U.S. won't criticize publicly (for example won't do so under their own names and faces on Facebook), but at most only anonymously via internet comments. They won't criticize publicly perhaps chiefly because they don't want to be considered by family, friends, clients, co-workers, human resources personnel, and potential future employers as a loony bigot and perverted hate-monger. There are economic risks (as well as physical risks from violent Muslims). To be able to defend against that worst of all charges of hate-mongering lunatic bigot, one must be quite an expert on Islam -- on its main texts, details of its history in many nations, and current polls of Muslim opinion around the globe. If you don't know enough about Islam, opponents can more or less convincingly charge you with the perverted evils and lunacy of bigotry. Hell, they'll call you bigot no matter how knowledgeable you are.

So one of our biggest obstacles, besides economic risk, is that very few people are willing or able to study enough about Islam to be able to effectively defend themselves publicly. Further, the West is still more or less free, though that seems to be changing. The increase of Muslim populations in the West to a point where we lose that freedom is sort of hypothetical, or at any rate in the invisible future. So it's easy for people to think, well, maybe things aren't as bad as they seem. I don't need to devote myself to this publicly. Besides, some Muslim might come up and stab me in the back!

The obstacles for us are pretty formidable. Above all we need more public people, like Bill Warner, and fewer who are merely on the internet. Warner has great self-confidence in what he's doing, in part because he has our culture's perhaps highest cognitive distinction: a Ph.D. in physics. It's harder to make the bigot charge stick on a trained scientist. No doubt he's economically secure, as well.

We need more people to sign up with Act for America, and fewer who are only internet activists. We need people to join in groups to study Islam and achieve specific knowledge goals. We need people to make their goal public activism against Islam or Sharia, and then to do everything they need to do to get ready for that role. Joining Act for America and getting involved would be a good way to start.

I address this comment to myself as much as to anyone else.

Article Spotlight

One of the most unusual articles on CitizenWarrior.com is Pleasantville and Islamic Supremacism.

It illustrates the Islamic Supremacist vision by showing the similarity between what happened in the movie, Pleasantville, and what devout fundamentalist Muslims are trying to create in Islamic states like Syria, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia (and ultimately everywhere in the world).
